Frequently Asked Questions
You do not need a referral to see a psychologist. However, you will need a referral (Mental Health Care Plan) from your GP or Paediatrician if you want to claim Medicare rebates for your appointments. The Mental Health Care Plan entitles you to 10 Medicare-rebated sessions per calendar year. The Medicare rebate for seeing a General Psychologist is $96.65 per session. We can process your rebate for you once payment has been processed at the end of your appointment.
Please be aware that this is not a bulk-billing service.

Yes, we can have our sessions via telehealth. However, for children under 10 years old, we strongly recommend that you book in-person sessions. This is because our experience has shown that telehealth is not the most engaging therapy format for children this young, and we want to make sure that your child is getting the most out of their sessions.
Any changes (reschedule or cancellation) to appointments must be made 48 hours prior to the appointment. Changes or cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment will incur the full session fee.
Missed appointments will also incur the full session fee.

Please note that you cannot concurrently claim Medicare rebates and Private health rebates for the same appointment. Only one form of rebate can be claimed for a single appointment.
